JDM Labs works on projects of all sizes, from small startups and Kickstarter projects to multi-national corporations and governments. In collaboration with Elite Electronic Engineering, we help clients pass product tests and receive accreditation for international EMC standards. JDM Labs analyzes test results and improves product designs to become standards compliant.

Jerry Meyerhoff
The principle engineer and founder of JDM Labs is Jerry Meyerhoff. In fact, that's where the company gets its name! During Jerry's days at Motorola, he remained a fierce tinkerer and "JDM Labs" was a tongue-in-cheek name for his basement workbench and personal radio equipment. Anything that got fixed around the house was credited to "JDM Labs". So when Jerry started his own consulting business, it had to be JDM Labs.
Jerry received his BSEE from University of Illinois - Chicago (UIC) and post-graduate studies at IIT. Previously Staff Engineer with Motorola Communications Division and Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff of the Motorola Automotive Business, then Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff, EMC Engineer, ElectroMagnetic Compatibility specialist, with Continental Automotive Systems. IEEE/EMC Distinguished Lecturer, Secretary of the Chicago IEEE/EMC chapter, Programs Chair of the UIC Engineering Alumni Association (EAA), UIC Constituent Leadership Award, Six US Patents, Amateur operator WA9FIY.
IEEE EMC Chicago
The IEEE offers educational opportunities and professional networking. Jerry is an active member of the local IEEE EMC society in Chicago. Jerry has been an active member for over 25 years, serving as an executive officer in EMC Chicago Chapter and liaison to many local technical schools and universities.
Jerry is a IEEE distinguished lecturer and visits other IEEE chapters to give presentations on EMC.
UIC Engineering Alumni Association
Jerry Meyerhoff is currently President Elect of University of Illinois at Chicago Engineering Alumni Association (UIC EAA). He previously served as Programs Chair and is a founding member. Jerry earned his BSEE from UIC in 1970 at which time he joined Motorola’s Communications Division.
Jerry is devoted to speaking to students of all ages about engineering careers. Jerry focuses on the UIC engineering students at Career Prep Days, Engineering EXPO, the professional societies, National Engineering week, and STEM events locally.
